Labonte MotorSports began research in 2002 to apply water injection technology on a supercharged gasoline engine. The goal was to increase horse power without the need for C116 high octane race gas and to overcome the limitations of air to air intercoolers. The result was a load based progressive injection system that added 80hp to a V-8 engine running 91 octane pump gas while lowering intake air temperatures by up to 130°F.
After production began of the first VC-25 injection controller, LMS began research to apply the technology on turbo charged diesel engines. The result was more horsepower, torque, lower NOx and particulate mater, lower Exhaust Gas temperature (EGT) and increase in fuel economy.
Labonte MotorSports has set the bench mark in the water-methanol injection industry with reliable innovative products. Other companies have standardized on our injection controls while others try to imitate our progressive load based injection technology.
Located in Loves Park Illinois, we now manufacture a wide range of injection controllers and Injection monitoring systems for almost any 4 cycle gasoline or turbo diesel engine. Three factors drive the engineering efforts of all our products: Robust, Reliable, Set and Forget tuning. If you are looking for reliable accurate injection products that work (and work well) look to Labonte MotorSports.
